5th and Taylor has become one of my favorite restaurants. There is not a bad seat in the house and the outside patio and bar is one of the best in Nashville!
Defining American Cuisine with a Tennessee Flair
5th & Taylor American Restaurant is the latest concept from six-time James Beard Award nominee Chef Daniel Lindley and his first ever in Nashville. The restaurant opened in April 2015 and explores chef Lindley’s Tennessee roots and his definition of American cuisine.
Nashville’s newest hotspot 5th & Taylor American Restaurant is excited to launch its weekly Sunday Night Dinner series on Sunday, August 2. Each week, guests will be treated to a rotating family style menu from six-time James Beard Award nominated chef Daniel Lindley and Chef de Cuisine Daniel Gorman, featuring their vision of classic American cuisine.
Chefs Lindley and Gorman will bring their three-course, family style feast to the table each week, focusing on different facets of Americana-style cooking. The menu format allows guests to share various items from each course. The menu format allows guests to share various items from each course.
The first Sunday dinner included: appetizers such as heirloom tomatoes with fromage blanc and sherry.
Duck rillette with sourdough and pickles, fried eggplant with honey and lavender and grilled peppers with almonds and mint.
Main course dishes include:
Fried chicken with herb salad
Steelhead trout with maple and mustard accompanied by a selection of sides such as grits with red corn and jalapeno roasted summer squash and charred okra
Pastry chef Rachel De Jong ends the evening on a sweet note with the seasonal peach hummingbird cake with sweet corn ice cream.

The sprawling restaurant is set in a 100-year-old warehouse and features design from Lindley and interior decorating from Los Angeles-based De JONG & Co
Sunday Dinner Reservations
Guests are invited to make reservations for Sunday Dinners each week at 6, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45 and 7 p.m. Dinner is $30 per person plus tax and gratuity. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged and can be secured online or by calling 615.242.4747. Be on the lookout for information about special guest chefs, farmers and brewers in the weeks to come.
