(Photo) Signature Focaccia: House-Made Porchetta, fresh creamy mozzarella, sunny-side up egg and arugula with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt
Mmmmmmmmmm……One scrumptious bite after another was filled with warm, crispy-on-the-outside and soft on the inside house-made focaccia and slathered with warm olive oil and garlic, succulent pieces of perfectly seasoned porchetta crowned with a creamy egg and spicy arugula. The focaccia’s light yet chewy and crispy texture (not dense and thick) makes it the perfect base for all of the ingredients to sit upon.
These are my people! I am Italian and the Italian experience is very important to me. It reminds me of wonderful family memories and the food that was part of our daily lives. You can’t fool a real Italian because we obsess over it. Our food is what we live and breathe. Mangia Nashville is that spot, like the well-known bar where everyone knows your name. I have found the very heart and soul of what it means to be Italian at Mangia. Nick’s passion for his heritage and his mission to share this experience with us is the essence of being Italian.
About: Mangia Nashville is Nashville’s first authentic artisan handcrafted focacceria including the unique signature carbon focaccia, Nick’s famous Porchetta is on the daily lunch menu as well as unique cocktails featuring limoncello. Mangia Nashville provides the Italian soul food that satisfies your hunger and spirit while conjuring up childhood memories of growing up Italian. Since Mangia’s beginning, Nick has been serving up the wildly popular traditional Italian Porchetta that is a succulent pork roast seasoned with garlic, rosemary and other herbs and is surrounded by crispy pork belly that has helped maintain the moisture during the cooking process. Another unique food item Nick has introduced to Nashville is the popular Italian Carbon or Jet-Black (Bread) Focaccia, a vegetable-based powder is added to the dough for the gorgeous and intense color. Some information on the bread hints at health benefits, but I love it for the color palette that it brings to the menu!
Every Friday and Saturday night’s Big Italian Dinners have remained a hit with a very ample six course dinner complete with a night of singing Italian songs, dancing to the Mamba and lots of laughter and fun. Your dinner will end with warm Zeppole’s and wonderful memories.
Even if your not Italian by heritage, you can’t help but be in the Italian state of mind with the savory aromas of baking focaccia and the feel of being in someone’s Italian grandmother’s kitchen.
Feast Your Eyes on the Signature Focaccias, salads, Panino’s and cocktails you will enjoy!

The restaurant features a warm and inviting atomsphere with a state of the art bar surrounded by lots of seating. It’s a great place just to hang out, enjoy a cocktail with friends and family.
Another Signature Focaccia is the Margherita with pomodoro sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil
The house made Tuscan potato chips are fried crispy and then tossed with rosemary salt which is a perfect accompaniment with the carbon focaccia stuffed with porchetta, broccoli rabe and balsamic red onions.
Wonderfully fresh and tasty salads are on the menu to accompany your meal or enjoy as an entree.
Zeppole the soft, freshly made sweet ricotta doughnuts, covered in cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar will make you swoon. And, you can get these daily!
Limoncello, an Italian liqueur made from fresh lemons, happens to be one of my favorite beverages and Mangia features the Mangia-tini which is a limoncello based cocktail. You will love it!!!!!
