Pollo Tropical is a Miami-based restaurant famous for its flame-grilled, citrus marinated chicken and fresh, handmade island-inspired cuisine. For years, my sister-in-law make it a point to meet for lunch weekly and this is one of our favorites to meet. Pollo Tropical is located in Cool Springs in Franklin,Tn. The succulent roasted chicken and the Mojo Roast Pork are two of my favorites accompanied with creamy and cool signature sauces Curry Mustard and Cilantro Garlic. The sauces also include a mild or spicy salsa to jazz up the black beans. OMG! I love, love, LOVE the Curry Mustard Sauce!
We also shared The Tangy Pineapple Chicken Wrap features pineapple grilled with olive oil, cumin and a hint of black pepper; citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken breast; Monterey Jack cheese; and chipotle mayo, all wrapped in a thin flatbread and finished on the Pollo Tropical grill press. Although we both were in the mood for the sides of the yellow rice with vegetables and black beans, there are plenty of sides on the menu to choose from.
