Voted Best International Vodka by Tales of the Cocktail 2023

What an adventure I had a Tales of the Cocktail 2023 in the great city of New Orleans, Louisiana July 23rd through the 28th. My fabulous and fantastic cocktail adventures began with a media event for Altamura Distilleries Premium Vodka’s Three-Martini Lunch at Galatoires in the French Quarter. This premium vodka was created in Puglia, Italy and has made its journey to the USA. Frank Grillo, who makes his home in Puglia is the Co-founder of this vodka told me how they realized that the Altamura wheat that is used to make Italian bread,was just waiting to become a bottle of vodka for us to enjoy! And boy does it! During this amazing meal we got the chance to experience delightful martinis created by master bartenders, a world class authentic New Orleans Feast at Galatoires complete with bread pudding and a fabulous Espresso Martini. But then the most fabulous thing happened. Tales of the Cocktail 2023 bestowed a most prestigious award to Frank Grillo and Altamura Disilleries: The Best International Vodka ! What a treat to be there and witness such a well-deserved award. Taste the difference! Smooth, crisp and clean is the magic of Altamura is whether you begin with vodka over ice or blended into a cocktail you know you are experiencing history, a dream by Frank and the best damn cocktail you could ever imagine.
