NEGRONI WEEK IS HERE!

What is your favorite Negroni Cocktail? This immensely popular cocktail that has so many fans, I bet they don’t wait to drink their favorite Negroni just during this week, why should you?

Are you a Negroni OG fan? Or, do you like to stir it up with variations on the classic. Check out my Negroni Articles that replace the traditional gin spirit with mezcal and tequila! They are amazing!

Traditional with a twist!

There are three base ingredients that usually comprise a Negroni: Campari, gin, sweet vermouth.

I’ve posted two variations on the traditional Negroni so now it’s time to post one with gin.

Although this one is in line with the classic, the gin is different from most gins you are drinking. This gin is a Spanish Gin, Aczu Gin, which is distilled in Andalusia, Spain with local botanicals, spices. Instead of juniper being front and center, the flavors or orange peels, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, lemon peels, coriander, anjelica, hibiscus, orange blossoms, licorice and juniper are distilled to perfection.

Campari, the Italian Spirit is complex, with herbal, orange and floral notes. It is pleasantly bitter with a velvety aftertaste. Intense notes of orange, herbs and wood.

Antica Formula 1786 Sweet Vermouth is bursting with flavor! This vermouth is rich, complex and layered, with aromas of mint and other herbs, plums and figs, which will remind you of Madeira. The deep, rich flavors might remind you of cocoa, red wine, almonds, bitter orange marmalade, hints of spice and toffee all play across the palate, finishing with a bracing bitter edge.

See where I’m going with this?

The Aczu Spanish Gin combined with Campari and Antica Sweet Vermouth is a match made in spirits heaven! When these ingredients are stirred together with ice, something magical happens in that glass!
