Fall Creek Vineyards Weekend Wine Getaway in the Texas Hill Country

  • by

Thank you Fall Creek Vineyards for making our mini wine vacation such a fabulous experience! I won the overnight stay at the winery on an Instagram giveaway for an overnight stay in the Chardonnay Room after a day of wine drinking and dining and we couldn’t be happier.

The warm and sunny winter’s day in the Texas Hill Country  was just absolutely perfect for day drinking  Texas’ finest wines. Stay a night or just come for the day; it’s such a quick drive from Austin, you can drive yourself or take ride-share.

Sipping and savoring the cheeseboards, charcuterie and a glass of Chenin Blanc, unoaked Chardonnay, Grenache Rosé, GSM Blend (Grenache-Syrah-Mourvédre), and Texas Hill Country Tempranillo was just about as perfect as it gets on the the beautiful stone patio with ample seating at the umbrella-covered tables. The weekend was lively with lots of wine lovers and their pets.

Dining was easy! After our wine afternoon we dined at the Italian restaurant Trattoria Lisina which is located about 2 miles from the winery. The famous and fabulous Salt Lick BBQ is just across the road from the winery which was lunch the next day!

Fall Creek wines are lovely and very popular! We enjoyed each and every sip and brought home several bottles to enjoy with our evenings at home. Check out all they have to offer of their award-winning wines here.

The patio is surrounded by the beautiful backdrop of the Texas Hill Country.

Layla and I are enjoying the Grenache Rosé

The cheese plate was a perfect accompaniment with our wines

This outrageously delicious GSM blend is worth the trip for just this Texas jewel!

Somehow they’ve figured out how to make a cool, refreshing wine lower in calories! CASE PLEASE!

I particularly enjoy a crisp, fruit filled unoaked Chardonnay.

Cheers!
