Lescalo Chenin Blanc is the low alcohol low calorie white wine that is high in flavor with fresh lemony zest and minerality that was introduced in 2020.  It is such a cool, refreshing, light wine with an abundance of flavor for pairing with summertime pool activities and dining al fresco and now have introduced a rosé for all the pink wine lovers out there!

Recently, I had the opportunity (along with Big Thirst Marketing and other influencers) to get a sneak peak of Fall Creek Vineyards low alcohol and low sugar wine which is full of flavor but light enough to enjoy through out the summer just perfect for warm summer days into the evening. Lescalo Rosé will soon be a summertime hit for all those wine lovers and rosé lovers alike.

Both Lescalo wines were created from the demand for full flavored wines while enjoying a lower alcohol lower calorie wine for moderating alcohol consumption and less calories.

Wine drinkers have begun to lean into lower calorie and alcohol options and Lescalo Rosé (as well as Lescalo Chenin Blanc) has lots of rich fruit flavors, body and tangy minerality that is satisfying the desire for a a refreshing wine that can be sipped on all day without feeling over served.

You’ll be delighted with the fresh acidity, vibrant strawberry, subtle stone fruit flavors and floral aromas with Lescalo Rosé. It will be the perfect addition to your summer wine sipping gatherings with friends and pairs very well with the Texas summer heat that we are known for.

Fall Creek Vineyards employs a low-intervention method of making Lescalo Rosé rather than employing harsh techniques like vacuum distillation, centrifugal force, or reverse osmosis to remove alcohol from finished wine.

It is made by harvesting grapes at optimal phenolic ripeness, but before they have a high sugar concentration.  This is the natural way to create a lower-alcohol wine as opposed to utilizing an alcohol reduction process.

And, rosés are known for their wine pairing versatility and this one is no exception.

We love spicy foods in Texas! Lescalo Rosé will complement all of your outdoor grilling meals as well as cool, crisp savory or fruit-based summer salads. Tex-Mex, Thai, grilled chicken, seafood and pork dishes will shine when pairing up with this refreshing Texas rosé.

Owners and founders Ed and Susan Auler along with winemaker Sergio Cuadra were on hand at the winery to present Lescalo to us as well as two of their Texas-grown Tempranillos as well as the unoaked stainless steel tank fermented Chardonnay for us to enjoy and share.

Texas Tempranillo is the absolute perfect wine to pair with outdoor summer grilling and smoking and Fall Creek Vineyards has two beauties that I can wait to pop open!  Because of my passion for cooking over live fire, I have an abundance of smokers and grills and I  can’t wait to pair the rich, dark fruits and spice of these two Texas Tempranillos with charcoal grilled or smoked beef, chicken, ribs, sausage and grilled vegetables.

Visit Fall Creek Vineyards soon and often! The winery is gorgeous and the patio is the perfect place to enjoy some of the best expressions of Texas wines with your friends.
