Recap Part 2: Sip Stroll and Taste at the 2021 Austin Food + Wine Festival

In November, the 2021 Austin Food + Wine Festival once again set up their big white tents against the downtown Austin skyline and fired up the pits for the ultimate food, wine and spirits event around! We put on our best walking shoes and were ready stroll around Auditorium Shores to sip wine, spirits and cocktails and taste as much food as we possibly could in this three-day foodie event!

Austin’s premier whiskey Still Austin Whiskey Co was pouring up tastings of The Musician Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Festival goers enjoyed popping in a record in the groove, playing some guitar, and enjoyed a fabulous cocktail!

 

Hanging out with the Chef Casey Wilcox of Little Trouble located in Lockhart, Texas. Check out the debauchery yourself, it’s all in fun!  If you haven’t been yet, why not? This quirky cool restaurant with a vintage touch of the old west and Dolly Parton has an awesome menu curated by Chef Casey and great cocktails too! Sunday night is burger night and there’s always a new one to enjoy! Be sure to get the Crunchy Salad which is awesome!

 

 

 

Magic happened at the Live Fire Event by Tom Micklethwait & Ren Garcia of Micklethwait BBQ!

The succulent Smoked Pork Jowl with veggies was the hit around the fire! It was obvious by the long line that everyone couldn’t get enough!

 

Joseph Gomez of Con Todo-Comida Frontera Y Taqueria located in Celis Brewery featured his Mexican fried pastry Bunuelos and they are addictively delicious and we want more!

Look what we found at The Whiskey Bar!

The Whiskey Bar featuring 3 different Whiskeys over 2 days at Austin Food & Wine Festival. They were serving cocktail samples and doing comparative tastings of the expressions from High West Whiskey Utah Belle Meade Bourbon from Tennessee  

Austin is known for having great Poke and Chef Jason McVearry at Poke-Poke has amazing Poke!

 

 

 

Mmmmm! Manuel Rocha of The Honey Moon Spirit Lounge served up the most delicious Iberico Pork Jowl Pastrami.  Be sure to get reservations and head to the lounge an experience the oh so stellar and creative menu and cocktails!

There’s nothing better than a cone full of perfectly grilled savory pork loin and roasted butternut squash. Hungry festival goers surrounded the HEB tent for savory tastes of grilled meats and vegetables!

H-E-B returned to the festival with the favorites you’ve come to love, along with some new culinary delights! Join us hungry for a delicious sampling menu of grilled meats and mouthwatering, grilled, organic produce, both seasoned with our fresh herb-made rubs and marinades. Perfectly paired with an array of wines, hand-picked and poured by your H-E-B Wine Specialists.

Earlybird CBD has partnered with Little Ola’s Biscuits to produce a biscuit with a little buzz. Little Ola’s Biscuits will be offering a mini version of their famous biscuit with butter and Earlybird infused jam. Each serving of jam will contain ~2.5mg of THC from Earlybird’s full spectrum hemp tincture.

 

 

 

You must check out the genius menu of The Storehouse Restaurant located in Bastrop, Texas to see what awaits you! Your culinary world we be rocked! Check out the Smoked Duck, it was so awesome we went back for thirds!

 

 

 

 

Check out the menu for Birdie’s by Chef Tracy Malechek Ezekiel. This will become your favorite restaurant. So many delicious bites are offered I may have to try it all! If this squash soup is any indication of the deliciousness that awaits you then you will be very pleased!

 

If you’re looking for crispy tacos then head to Cruzteca Mexican Kitchen. The crispy crunchy tacos were yummy so check out the menu and see what other fresh Mexican food they have!

Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey offered tastings of our Original and Blue Peak throughout the weekend. Stranahan’s may be the top selling American single malt whiskey, but they are still dedicated to the same small batch process we have used since day 1.

 

The progressive House of Suntory ‘Tiny House’ is a transportable and elegant Japanese bar, where guests both inside and outside the structure are treated to the highest form of omotenashi, or Japanese hospitality.
